The city of Fresno happens to be an important city of California. The city is located in central California region, and its location, serves as an entryway to some of the major parks such as the Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia national parks in Sierra. Although the city of Fresno is not directly linked to Interstate highways, however the city is served with some major California State highways. In case of railways, Amtrak that operates its railways through Fresno County provides the rail service in the city. As far as airways are concerned although the city has airports such as the Fresno Chandler Executive Airport and the Sierra Sky Park Airport it is the Yosemite International Airport, the official airport of the city that manages a large number of local national and international flights. While traveling within the city, other than cars, one can also utilize the bus service provided by the Fresno Area Express and Handy Ride Para transit service. The city of Fresno is full of various spots to visit, as a result of which the city is gaining popularity as a tourist destination. Catering to the needs of its large number of tourist the numerous hotels, motels, shopping centers and more than 500 restaurants have been established in the city. |
