In NY for business, I stayed at the Aka - United Nations for about a month in total. It was consistently good, though the first room I was in was noticeably larger and generally better than the second, which seemed to be in a less-recently-renovated part of the building. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff takes their service levels very seriously - arguably a little too seriously for most people's comfort. It all attracts an overly self-satisfied crowd. Still, small details were annoying, like having the dry cleaning comes back with everything steamed perfectly flat and proper. Breakfast was excellent, and an exceptionally pleasant way to start the day. During stay I enjoyed the massage facility provided by the hotel, it was really relaxing and great. If you are going in a long trip to New York and want a comfortable stay Aka-United Nations will be a best choice for enjoying your trip. . |
