I and my wife spent a Saturday night at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan The rooms were clean and well appointed. The heater had an infrequent banging sound which didn't bother me but made it a bit difficult for my wife to sleep. More significant was the very long waits for the elevator. With only two elevators in the hotel, each accommodating perhaps six people, we often waited ten minutes or more for an elevator with space for 2 to arrive. This was particularly disconcerting during the dinner/theater hour. We were on the 4th floor and felt that being on a higher floor might provide a better chance for getting in This problem was compounded by the fact that the staff used the same small elevators to move luggage. Checking out was relatively easy though with only one porter we had to wait 15 minutes to have our luggage stored. The Fitzpatrick Manhattan is certainly good value, well-appointed and in a good location. Definitely we will go back to New York and stay in the Fitzpatrick Manhattan hotel indeed.
