Although the staff was courteous and the location is near JFK, the neighborhood was very scary. In addition, although this hotel is listed as accessible it has a very strange elevator installed in a closet space for wheelchair patrons. This elevator can only be operated by staff member with a key. I had to stand in the lower level and call for someone to operate this scary module. The only other alternative for me was to go out a back door into an alley in a bad neighborhood. This hotel, I feel should not say that it is accessible to wheelchair occupants.
