All Hallows-by-the-Tower – located at Byward Street, this church dates from the 12th to 15th Centuries. Though this has been badly ruined in the bombardment, the front portion of All Hallows remains untouched. This has been carved by Grinling Gibbons. This church has been a part of the history when Samuel Pepys climbed its tower and surveyed the Great Fire damages. |
