Sacramento, the capital of California, is a deep water port and sits in the 400-mile long Central Valley which is totally enclosed by mountains and is one of the most productive regions of the United States. The Time magazine, in 2002, cited Sacramento as America\'s most integrated city.

Some of Sacramento’s historic districts have retained the charm of the cobbled streets with steam-hauled historic trains, and buildings built in the 1860s.Historical sites in the city include the State Capitol and Fort Sutter, two of
oldest part of the town. Also of interest is the famous Crocker Art Museum.Sacramento supports a symphony orchestra and several theatres.

Sacramento and its underlying areas possess Mediterranean climate that is characterized by hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. The area usually has high humidity during winter but low during summer. The rainy season typically starts on November and tapers off almost completely by the end of April.
