San Jose is Spanish for Saint Joseph, revered by Christians all over. The City of San Jose in California is located in a region commonly referred to as Silicon Valley, at the southern end of the Bay Area. The once modest farming city, modern San Jose is the largest city in Northern California with close to a million residents. San Jose, like most of the Bay Area, has a Mediterranean climate where temperatures are generally moderate throughout the
year.
San Jose is home to the largest collection of Beethoven outside of the Europe, at the Ira F. Brilliant Center for Beethoven Studies. There are a couple of renowned museums: the San Jose Museum of Art and the Children\'s Discovery Museum. Tourists delight in San Joses several wonderful wineries and beautiful golf courses, as well as California\'s oldest municipal park, Alum Rock Park in East San Jose. San Jose possesses a fabulous restaurant and nightlife scene. |
