Washington, D.C. or simply DC(for District of Columbia) is officially the City of Washington located on the north bank of the Potomac River. Washington, D.C. is ascribed to as the permanent national capital of United States.The residents total to roughly 600,000 but during the workweek the city accommodates close to a million inhabitants.

Washington DC possesses a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons typical of Mid-Atlantic areas in the United States which are removed from bodies of water. The combination of heat and humidity in the summer causes frequent thunderstorms while winter brings sustained cool temperatures. Fall and spring are generally mild.

Washington DC is a planned city modeled in the Baroque style and characterized by broad avenues radiating out from rectangles and circles.
Designed by a French-born architect,the city has lots of open space and plenty of landscaping.
