Canal Hotel is one of the lesser know hotels of Venice but it is quite popular aongst its local population. The hotel is run by a family and it is situated just overlooking the Grand Canal. The airport is twelve kilometers from the hotel. The bus stand and the train stations are just two hundred meters away from the hotel. St. Mark’s Square is two kilometers from the hotel. The hotel occupies an eighteenth century Palace of Venice. The front desk of the hotel is opened for twenty four hours. The hotel also has a very beautifully kept garden. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast which is continental in nature and the best part about the hotel is its garden area where drinks can be served in the Gazebo of the garden which has a lot of climbing roses for its decoration. The staffs of the hotel are very good and ready to help all the time. The guest rooms are supposedly climate controlled and have a very good view of the Grand Canal. All the rooms have satellite television and Mini bars, phones and safes are also available in the hotel. There are currency exchange services in the hotel and the bar and lounge area of the hotel serves very good cocktails and has a good collection of whiskey. The only thing bad about the hotel is that the room services are for limited hours only. One must stay in this hotel if he loves the view of Grand Canal and Venice. .
