Jordan is one of the most modern, peaceful and prosperous nations in a rather volatile Middle East region. It shares its borders with Israel, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the West Bank Territories.

Most of the time the expensive Jordan hotels get filled up quickly and the only option is to do your Jordan hotels booking a few weeks in advance. On the other hand there are plenty of cheap Jordan hotels.
Generally the Jordan hotels towards the outskirts are cheaper than the ones in the cities.
Jordan has many modern cities. The city of Amman is its capital.
The other two major cities are Zarqa and Irbid. Aqaba is a port city with connections to the Sinai and Red Sea. The major regions that draw tourists in Jordan are – Jerash, which is famous for its Roman ruins.

Wadi Rum is known for its beautiful scenic contrast i.e. the contrast between the beautiful granite cliffs and the barren desert. The Dana nature reserve goes way beyond a normal protected reserve; in fact this village has hardly changed since the 15th century.
Then there are the five castles that span the Eastern desert, the beautiful oasis of Azraq and of course the Dead Sea. |
